February

The "Escape Cabin Fever" month. A great time to getaway and enjoy winter activities: XC-Skiing, Ice Skating, Toboggan Slide, hiking through the snow, a mug of Hot Chocolate, Snuggling by the Fireplace and excellent gourmet dinners.

Winterfest & Endless Mountain Dog Sled Race, held at Camp Brule, this 50 mile race is an annual event where teams compete.  There are cash prizes for the entrants and hot food is available. 570-924-4224

We are celebrating Valentine's Day and Presidents' Weekend, take advantage of the holiday and relax at Eaglesmere.

This quiet Victorian resort quickens its pace a bit. The Country Club and Beach & Boat Club are in full swing. Antique and art shows arrive. Performances by the Philadelphia Trio, Ensemble Theatre Company, Jazz groups and others. Guided & Self-guided Hikes on Nature Conservancy and State Forest lands. Mostly warm days and cool nights.

In the heart of Summer, the "Hardly Able" Motor Launch, the only power boat on the Lake, takes guests around the Lake and to the sandy Beach where Guests swim or ply the waters in Sailboats, Kayaks and Paddle Boats. Water Carnival. Arts and Crafts show. More performances and music.

Quiet abounds as the Summer cottages are closed, Deer & other wild life wander thru town, dried huckleberries still cling to flaming red bushes, the air is crisp & clean and peace envelopes Eagles Mere. Great weather & Golf at Eagles Mere's private Golf Club, a wonderful course overlooking the Mountains. The beautiful colors of Fall come early to our mountain.

This is one of the best areas in the country to view Fall Color because we have a mixture of Northern & Southern Hardwoods for a great variety of colors and timing of change. With the variety of elevations when the colors start to fade in one area the color is just beginning to peak nearby. Fall foliage festivals are celebrated at the Fairgrounds.

Peace and quiet abound. Visit a few shops for last minute Holiday gifts then reward yourself with a brief walk then relax by the fire. We close briefly around Christmas and then re-open for the perfect New Year's Eve celebration with appetizer Buffet, outstanding dinner, wonderful wine, great desserts and your special time with your loved one.

Eagles Mere will sponsor it's annual Victorian Christmas.
