Outdoor Activities Abound

Couch potatoes beware! There are many activities to experience, sights to see and areas to explore in this Central Pennsylvania getaway. Bring your bikes, hiking boots, binoculars and bathing suits. The fun starts here!

Golfing

When you stay at the Eagles Mere Inn you have access to the private Eagles Mere Country Club and its breathtaking 18 hole course opened in 1911.

Eagles Mere Lake

A private, pristine lake surrounded by pine, mountain laurel and giant rhododendron. Our guests have access to this private lake and the Laurel Path. In summer months, rent canoes, sailboats, paddle boats, use the beach facilities and ride around the lake in the "Hardly Able" a canvas covered motor launch and the only power boat allowed on the lake. Sailing races and lake swims are planned in the months of July and August as are children’s programs run by the Eagles Mere Athletic Association.

Pickleball & Tennis

Whether clay-court tennis is your game or Har-Tru pickleball is your latest sport to conquer, Eagles Mere has great facilities for both.

Casual Biking

Whether you bring your own mountain or street bikes or borrow ours, there are hundreds of miles to explore here. Tour past Eagles Mere's 100+-year-old Victorian Cottages on barely traveled streets or venture out into the many marked forest trails.
