This "last unspoiled resort", provides a quiet and relaxing experience situated atop a 2100 ft. mountain in the Pocono Endless Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Eagles Mere Inn, a unique country inn bed and breakfast offering guest accommodations in both rooms and suites, is located in a tiny town 400 paces from a pristine lake surrounded by hundreds of acres of forest, incredible waterfalls, sunsets, and hiking. Special vacation getaway and seasonal packages are available year round. Rates - Includes Room, Gourmet Dinner and Breakfast for two persons

If Extra Person in Room (1 year old+)

  • Each extra person, one night +$50:
    1 person, one week +$300

If only one person in room

  • Deduct from 2 person rate: 1 person, 1 night -$30

  • 1 person, 1 week -$150

Some weekdays and most weekends are 2 or 3 Night Minimum

  • 1 Night is frequently "OK" If a Friday or Sunday. Call for availability of Saturday Night only.

PA Tax and 15% Service Charge added to all Charges

  • Check-in is after 3 p.m. and before 10 p.m. 
  • Check-out is by 11 a.m.
  • Our desk is closed and a machine records messages from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. unless you tell us that you expect an emergency call.

Service Charge

Based on historical continuity and the stated preference of many of our guests we automatically add a 15% Service Charge to all Room, Food Beverage and Country Club charges. This covers gratuities for all employees as well as: Lake Association and Country Club privileges (you still need to pay for their individual services); plus, other miscellaneous goods and services not charged on a per use basis to guests.

  

Payment, Deposit and Cancellation Policy

We are a small resort Inn whose policy is to never overbook rooms. Because we guarantee your reservation: reservations are not held unless we receive a deposit (which we process upon receipt). and, reservations canceled for any reason less that 14 days prior to arrival or if you check out earlier than reserved, results in loss of deposit amount. Groups and Special Events may require a longer cancellation notice.

Fall in Eagles Mere

The unspoiled beauty and serenity of this peaceful oasis allows our guests to adjust their pace to this simple and relaxed environment. Couples spend quality time together and leave rested, re-energized to face the stressful pace of the urbanized world. Quiet abounds as the Summer cottages are closed, Deer & other wild life wander thru town, dried huckleberries still cling to flaming red bushes, the air is crisp & clean and peace envelopes Eagles Mere. Fall is a great time to enjoy the beauty and quiet of our Lake, the Forest and this special area.

Fall Golfing on the Mountain - Eagles Mere's private Golf Club established in 1911.A wonderful course overlooking the Mountains.

Eagles Mere Winter Activities

We frequently have lots of snow when Philadelphia has ice or no snow. Our roads are kept clear and open.

Cross-country Skiing
Free, beautiful, trails within 2 blocks of the Inn or 12 miles to World's End State Park". We loan skis, boots & poles to house guests. Just 20miles away are rentals and lessons.

Toboggan Slide
If "Mother Nature" gives us 12 to 14 inches of crystal clear ice on the Lake, a 1200 ft. Toboggan Slide is constructed down a steep hill & on to the Lake. This usually starts late January or early February. Weather permitting, the Slide operates Friday evenings, all day Saturday and most of Sunday. It is located 1 block from the Inn.

Crystal Lake 20 miles away has Snow Tubing & XC lessons

Ice Skating
Great, lighted skating on a protected Pond. We loan skates.
