Visit Ricketts Glen State Park
Ricketts Glen is comprised of over 13,000 acres of waterfalls, decades-old timber and diverse wildlife. It is truly breathtaking! Initially, the lake will be very cold from the winter months, but once it warms up you can go for a swim, sunbathe, rent a boat or bring your horse to ride the many trails. If you’re feeling especially adventurous, take a hike on the famous 3.5-mile Falls Trail where you’re surrounded by waterfalls.
Play a round at the Eagles Mere County Club
The locals say playing the Eagles Mere course for the first time is a unique experience. Offering “50-miles” breathtaking views, blind shots and undulating greens will challenge even the best of golfers. The Eagles Mere Golf Course was originally dubbed the best course on the East coast and has to be played at least once in a lifetime.
Fly over to the Eagles Mere Air Museum
The Eagles Mere Air Museum gives “Night at the Museum” a run for its money, because the displays actually come to life here as well! From May through October these “antique” planes take to the skies and it is truly a sight to see. Dedicated to The Golden Age of flying (1900s—1930s) this museum has rare aircraft engines, photos and histories of the pilots who flew the planes in addition to its 27 planes.
Grab a bite to eat at Berry Fields Farm
Berry Fields Farm will give you a unique Central Pennsylvania experience. Their field-to-table food is mostly produced from their own farm and harvested the day of the meal!
